Adapted from: Cooking Light
4 slices French Bread (I used rolls but would advise against it)
3 Egg Whites
1/2 cup Skim Milk
7 oz low sodium Deli Ham (Boar’s Head)
2 slices American Cheese
Mustard (if desired)
Heat griddle press (or pan) and spray lightly with cooking spray.
In a shallow bowl (that will fit your bread), whisk egg whites and milk together.
Dip bread in egg mixture and flip to make sure totally coated.
Place on griddle and build sandwich with ham and cheese.
Cook for four minutes and then flip. Finish cooking until bread is golden brown on both sides.
Dust top with powdered sugar.
